Don’t give the fight!
Jerimiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
God placed this desire for rest in our souls, and he promises to fulfill it however with that being said he also asked us to have long suffering because he knew that eventually we will all long for rest from the stress of living
“I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish” (Jeremiah 31;25)
Have you ever spoken to someone who said something like “I don’t want to live anymore..but I don’t want to die either”?
What their really saying is simple. I want hope–I want to know that my living wont be in vain.
I have been at this stage many times sometimes the thought of suicide even crossed my mind but as a child of God I wouldn’t dare take my life because it isn’t mines to take.
There were times when I fell into deep depression and I didn’t want to try anymore, depression is real I see it everyday and its prevalent amongst young people
As believers we really need to ask God to give us the spirit of discernment so many people are suffering around us but we cant see it. We walk past friends, church members and people within our vicinity everyday and we have no idea about the things there are going through.
Encourage someone today if you can sometimes just a hello can make a difference in a person mind where life and death is concerned and If you feel depressed and alone, and feel like there’s no point to it all, remind yourself that you have a plan, you are working your plan and that someday it will come to past .
Don’t give up the fight because your future depends on it, and do not give up on yourself God has a plan for us all that MUST come to Past but it can only be fulfilled if we Endure.
Long suffering is one of the fruits of the spirit and its something we need to acquire in order to walk this walk of faith. Encourage yourself because outside of the assurance of Christ all we have is ourselves so we have to love on ourselves and speak life over ourselves
“But don’t give up. No, rather “take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded” (2 Chronicles 15:7).
My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Corinthians 12:8–9)
Jesus replied saying Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:
I wish I could fast forwarded my life to get a glimpse of where God is taking me, I mean if God can show us what will become of us in the next few years wouldn’t that be great. It certainly would save ME from a lot of bad decisions and wrong turns IM destined to make along the way.
In this I could avoid bringing temporary people into MY space or avoid some choices that will have a negative lasting factor on MY live. If God did that for us it would be great… but wouldn’t that also be boring and predictable …What lessons could life teach us if we knew or could predict everything that it had to offer. How could faith play any part if we had no need to exercise it and how confident would we be in God if we didn’t have to rely on him for each step or decision we had to make.
The truth is God wants us to lean on him daily at every waking moment of our lives, he wants us to rely on him with our hope for tomorrow, he wants us to exercise and gain faith unparalleled (never seen or experienced before) because without it its not possible to please him.) We exercise to improve our heart health and we lift weights to build and tone our muscles. But what about our spiritual walk, what about building spiritual muscles
What do we do to stay hopeful, encouraged, and faithful when it seems as if life is taking on a rollercoaster ride. Truth is faith is like a muscle you need to exercise it daily to keep it active because if you don’t it will gradually decline in its effectiveness If you have ever broken a leg and been unable to use it for a time, you will know that you need to work hard to rebuild the muscle that has been weakened by prolonged inactivity.
The physiotherapist will work with you to rebuild what has been lost through lack of use and eventually you will be able to walk on your own again. In the same way Jesus (the object of our faith) has assured us that exercising our faith is crucial in order to walk along side him, he said to us if we have faith even as small as a mustard seed its enough to move any obstacle in our lives.
The mustard seed is a very small seed but once watered the plant grows to a remarkable LARGE size in comparison to the original mustard seed. The more we exercise our faith is more it grows within us and produces remarkable results. It is not the quantity of faith you have but the quality of faith (confidence) you have in God and God’s Word
It matters not how large or small Your faith may seem to be; What really counts is WHOM you trust In life’s uncertainty. —Fitzhugh
Progression not Regression
And because of the increase of wickedness many will be discouraged and grow cold BUT he who endures to the end shall be saved. Matthew 24:12-13
If we were to examine the world or church around us at large we would realize that the majority have given up on life. Maybe not in the physical sense because people still go to work and still show up at church… but they have given up on life internally (the inside).
They’ve allowed the chaos of the world and the persecution and oppression they face from the enemy to get to them thus turning them cold and even steering some off the path of righteousness.
Obstacles will occur in your (my) life to DISTRACT ,DISTORT and DIVERT us from the road to destiny but I rather travel on a Rocky road going SOMEWHERE than on a Smooth road going NOWHERE.
Life will pass you by if you are immobile that’s why God wants us to be progressive, he wants us to move higher to go where wève never gone before AND to push pass the LIMITATIONS.
You cannot afford to miss out on any opportunities God has presented before you because you are concerned with whats happening around you. Your too gifted to sit down and let life pass you by ,you need to get up and take your life back from the snare of the fowler and make your life work.
To be progressive is to ; move forward or onward in space or time towards an area, or destination.
To regress is to; return to a former or less developed state. It’s the act of going back to a thing that didn’t benefit you when you were in it in the first place.
Our God is a progressive God, his word is not only quick but its ACTIVE … its always in MOTION, so as believers we cannot afford to go back into old chapters of our lives or revert back to a lesser quality of ourselves we must always be on the rise.
The word of God is clear in Matthew 24:13 it says that the one that endures will be SAVED. To ENDURE is not to live a fruitless, pitiful life in hopes that Jesus will come back soon and save us from our misery but it is to hold out against the pressure of life without GIVING IN and GIVING UP.
To ENDURE is to continue on with the same attitude you had when everything was going right in your life…your attitude determines your LATTITUDE and your LOT in life.
Endure until the end you can’t look back you can’t go back, you have to stay on the road you may get tired you may get weary but Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 To come to him if we are weighed down and need rest, if we take his yoke, take his weight it is easy , his yoke is light and he will give us rest for our souls.
Anything worth having is worth FIGHTING and WORKING for so stay in the ring and FIGHT.
