We are the church

If the enemy can discourage us and keep us there, he has won.


Persecution, pressure, stress and everyday concerns vie for first place in our lives every single day. It is very easy to give our attention to whatever is shouting the loudest and in so doing, sideline what is actually most important. Difficulties, in whatever form they take, shift our focus away from our purpose to surviving. Christians have not been called to survive, but to serve.

We see this illustrated when Jesus told the parable of the sower. The weeds and thorns don’t kill the seed, but they keep it from producing fruit.
